Hoax call on bomb explosion at temple

Police today conducted a search at the famous Sri Meenakshi temple here following a call to a resident in Theni district stating that a bomb would explode in the temple today.
The resident informed about it to Theni police, who contacted the Madurai Police.
After the searches, the call turned out to be a hoax, a senior police official told PTI.
The call was received from the number "555555555" by Kamatchi in her mobile phone. Efforts were on to trace the caller, police said.
