"Hockey Bhopal, which has been admitted as a new Associate Member of Hockey India, has been invited to take part in all the National Championships conducted by Hockey India," Hockey India said in a statement.
It will make its debut in the Hockey India National Championship for senior men in Bangalore from September 24.
"We are happy to induct Hockey Bhopal in our fold and are delighted that 1968 Olympic Games bronze medal winning player Inam-ur-Rahman is its President and 1984 Olympian S Jalaluddin Rizvi its Secretary-General," HI said.
"Under their leadership, we are sure Bhopal will regain pride of place as a nursery for Indian hockey."
