Rajasthan Royals batsman Brad Hodge said his side is not taking the Perth Scorchers lightly and would like to seal the semifinal berth in their Group A encounter of the Champions League T20 here.
"We are in good position but are not complacent. We would going full strength because know a victory against Perth Scorchers would help us moving closer to semifinal berth. We would try and win the game and extend our 10 match winning streak with putting our best foot forward," Hodge told reporters here.
The Scorchers are languishing at the bottom with two points which they bagged by virtue of their washed out match in Ahmadabad.
"We know Perth Scorchers are a depleted side but that also takes away pressure from the youngsters who would play freely and can be dangerous as good performance can make a difference. We have a tough task at our hands but a win would help us," said Hodge, who scored 46 off 23 deliveries in the last game against Lions.
"I certainly like to bat up the order but skipper Rahul Dravid explained exactly at what position I was required to bat. I have a job to do for the team and I am happy to do my role," said the seasoned batsman.
On the other hand, Scorchers' Brad Hogg said the youngsters had learnt their lessons and would go all out tomorrow.
"It has been huge experience. Playing in front of such big crowds and against international stars like Sachin has been great for them. We have tough two days ahead and we would be up against quality opposition. Rajasthan Royals are perhaps the most closely knit team and have a ten match winning streak but we have the players who could break it," said Hogg.
