Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman's two personal diaries that were found during investigation reportedly reveal his struggle to overcome his addiction.
Cops investigating the 46-year-old actor's death on February 2 due to an apparent drug overdose, discovered two of his private journals in his New York City apartment, reported NBC news.
Multiple sources familiar with the contents of the diaries revealed that some of the entries appear to have been written while Hoffman, who died on February 2 of an apparent drug overdose, was still receiving the treatment for his addiction.
"It seems he did at least part of it in rehab. It definitely contained some soul-searching. But there is also a fair amount of rambling that doesn't make sense," a source said.
The actor had an addiction problem very early in his life but had been sober for over 23 years. He got himself admitted to rehab last year following a relapse.
