Amritraj has collaborated with the United Nation for the eight episode television series titled 'Chance of a Lifetime'.
The show will put young filmmakers from Middle East, India and Singapore in different teams to provide a unified vision to create documentaries based on the priority global issues of the United Nations like universal education, HIV Aids, malaria and access to water.
The first time UN collaboration on a TV series will allow the contestants full access to the archival library of the various organisations including UNESCO, UNF and UN FOOD, among others.
Senior UN personnel will be seen communicating with the contestants via Skype during the production of the various documentaries.
"Its been such a wonderful experience working with my friends at the United Nations and watching these young filmmakers from diverse cultures forge partnerships to create socially relevant documentaries," Amritraj said in a statement.
The show will go on air on DD National from tomorrow.
