Homage paid to wife of Hind Samachar Group's Editor-in-Chief

Leaders of various political parties and social organisations today paid homage to late Swadesh Chopra, the wife of Hind Samachar Group of Newspapers' Editor-in-Chief Vijay Kumar Chopra.
A large number of people, including leaders from SAD, BJP and Congress, paid homage at the 'Rasam Kriya' programme here.
Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Nirmal Singh, Haryana Minister Ram Bilas Sharma, BJP's Punjab unit chief Kamal Sharma and former MoS for External Affairs Preneet Kaur were among others present at the programme.
Eminent singer Anup Jalota presented a 'Bhajan' in her memory.
Swadesh Chopra had passed away after prolonged illness at a private hospital in Delhi on July 7.

She was active in various social and charitable organisations and is survived by her husband, two sons and four grandchildren.
