Home guard arrested for withdrawal of money from ATM

Police Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) arrested a home guard here today for alleged fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 20,000 in cash by using a lost ATM card from the account holder account.
The arrested home guard has been identified as Budumuri Anil Babu.
Addressing reporters here today, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) S Varada Raju said that the complainant Karri Someswara Rao (72) had gone to consult a doctor at doctor on December 8, 2014.
After consulting the doctor Rao went to a medical store to purchase medicines, but he accidentally lost his SBI debit card at the medical store.

Home guard Anil Babu, who was present close to the store, noticed it and picked up the card.
Since Rao had written his ATM card's PIN number on the cover of the ATM card, the home guard used the card and allegedly withdrew Rs 20,000 in four transactions, CCIC inspector K Satyanarayana Rao said.
Based on the CCTV footage, the police arrested the accused today.
