Home Sec meets junior officers to expedite work

In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pitch for breaking the red-tape, Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami today met junior level officials of the Home Ministry and asked them to work sincerely and clear all files in a time-bound manner.
During the hour-long interaction with Directors and Deputy Secretaries and section officers, Goswami wanted to know the problems being faced by them while processing files and how to expedite work in every desk.
Goswami also stressed the need for bringing synergy and better coordination among different divisions of the Home Ministry, official sources said.
The meeting was part of NDA government's pitch for better productivity in office works and remove differences among various stake-holders.
The Prime Minister has also been stressing on removing bureaucratic hurdles and putting more focus on result-oriented workstyle in the administration.
There are more than 50 Directors and nearly 80 Deputy Secretaries functioning under the 20 divisions in the Home Ministry.
