The company had sold 4,242 units in the same month of the previous year, HCIL said today in a statement.
During December, the company sold 1,026 units of its small car Brio, 4,458 units of its latest sedan Amaze and nine units of the premium sedan Accord. In addition, the company exported a total of six units during the month.
In April-December, Honda Cars posted a 66.39 per cent increase in sales with 85,656 units compared with 51,478 units during the same period of 2012, it said.
The company's all-new Honda City received an overwhelming response after its global preview in November, he added.
"We are looking forward to the launch of the new City and expect to continue with the growth momentum in the New Year," Sen said.
