Honeywell Science Experience programme launched in Hyd

Agastya International Foundation and Honeywell India today announced the expansion of their experiential science education programme to cover government schools in four more cities, including Hyderabad.

The Honeywell Science Experience for students and teachers of government schools would now cover schools in Hyderabad, Chennai, Madurai and Mysuru.

The programme had earlier been launched in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Delhi and Pune, a release said.

As part of the programme, Honeywells not-for-profit entity, Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), is supporting 25 science centres, 35 mobile science labs, and 3,000 student mentors, benefiting more than 1,35,000 students and 783 teachers across all these cities.

Agastya International Foundation Chief Operating Officer K Thiagarajan said here that "Today we are reaching out to more than 200 schools through our diverse set of programmes. We are aspiring to set up a Creativity Campus in Telangana in the next 2-3 years."
Telangana Principal Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan said "Experiential learning improves critical thinking and helps students apply classroom concepts to real-world challenges."
