The Asian Squash Federation Platinum tournament has been organised by the city-based Bombay Gymkhana.
Chan Chi Ho tamed Miheer Prakash (India) 11-1, 11-1, 11-3, while Ho Ka Hei had quite a fight on hand from India's Vaibhav Chauhan. But he managed to come through, winning at 11-6, 11-8, 11-7 to advance to the third round.
Meanwhile, India's Ananya Dabke, the top seed in the girls' under-15 event cruised past her compatriot Netra Krishna 11-5, 11-2, 11-1 in a first round match.
Yasshmita Jadishkumar tamed Antara Pande 11-1, 11-3, 11-2; Aira Azman outclassed Aanchal Rathor 11-1, 11-0, 11-3 and Yu Ng Chen defeated Veda Pendyala 11-3, 11-2, 11-4.
