'Honoured to have two Goa beaches in Asia's top 10 list'

Goa Tourism department today said it was a great honour to have two of the state's beaches listed among the top 10 beaches in Asia, as per a survey conducted by travel website TripAdvisor.
"It is a great honour to have two of Goa's finest beaches featuring in the list of top ten beaches in Asia," state Tourism Director Sanjiv Gauns Desai said.
Agonda and Palolem beaches of Goa have been listed among the top 10 beaches in Asia, according to a survey by TripAdvisor.
"Agonda beach, which stood fourth in the Asia top 10 list, is well-known for its quiet, relaxing and picturesque location. Palolem beach, ranked eighth in the list, is well-known for its unique thatched roof accommodation, which blends well with the landscaping," Desai said.

He said Goa's beaches continue to be a big draw for tourists, both domestic and international.
"The Tourism department has been working round the clock to ensure that beaches in Goa are kept clean and all safety measures are put in place, so that tourists can enjoy their visits here," he said.
