The government has also decided not to charge regularisation fees in 543 infrastructure-deficient colonies of the urban areas, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said after a state Cabinet meeting here this evening.
To facilitate defence forces personnel including ex-servicemen, para military personnel and ex-para military personnel, his government has decided to launch a housing scheme at a cost of Rs 8,250 crore to provide them flats at a subsidised rate, he said.
Though the state government has decided not to charge regularisation fees in civic amenities and infrastructure deficient colonies in urban areas, however, development charges would be payable by plot holders in such areas under Municipal Corporations of Gurgaon and Faridabad at a rate of Rs 150 per square yard.
In case of Municipal Corporations of Ambala, Yamunanagar/ Jagadhri, Karnal, Panipat, Rohtak, Hisar and Panchkula, the charges would be Rs 100 per square yard.

For Municipal Councils, it will be Rs 50 and for Municipal Committees, the rates will be Rs 30.
In another decision, the Cabinet enhanced the norms of relief given on account of damage to crops due to floods, fire, electric sparking, hailstorm and dust storm and drought.
