Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today urged the legal fraternity to assess what is in favour of the people and apprise the government accordingly so as to accelerate the pace of development in the state.
Addressing the advocates during the function organised by Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana High Court here, he said that Haryana has witnessed unprecedented development during the last nine years of Congress rule.
"Haryana has achieved the highest resource mobilisation of 192 per cent during the 11th Five Year Plan as compared to 95 per cent of national average and 96.5 per cent in other states which lay claim as progressive states," he said.
Haryana is at number one in all spheres of development be it per capita investment, per capita income, per capita planned budget expenditure or resource mobilisation, he claimed.
He hoped that legal fraternity would continue to extend their support in scaling new heights of development in the state.
The CM called upon the lawyers to charge low fee from poor people.

Hooda said that the legal fraternity has played a key role in freedom struggle.
"Our leaders like Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Pt Moti Lal Nehru, Lala Lajpat Rai and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who were harbinger of independence were also advocates," he added.
Being an advocate by profession, Hooda said, he understands their problems and had done whatever possible for their welfare.
A number of decisions had been taken for their welfare including reservation in HUDA plots, creation of State Advocates welfare Fund, financial assistance for Bar libraries, and grant for the construction of advocates' chambers in Judicial Complexes of the state, the Chief Minister said.
