Hooda lays foundation of metro rail extension to Ballabhgarh

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today laid the foundation stone of extension of Metro Rail from YMCA chowk to Ballabgarh.
Hooda said the project would provide world class travelling facility to people of Delhi, Faridabad and Ballabhgarh, according to an official release.
Rs 564 crore would be spent on the extension of Metro Rail project from YMCA to Ballabgarh, the construction work of which would be completed by March 2017.
Two new stations at NCB Colony and Ballabhgarh would be set up on this metro line. The extension work of Delhi Metro project from Badarpur to YMCA Chowk, Faridabad is in its last phase, he said.
The 13.875 km long Delhi-Ballabgarh metro rail project costs Rs 2,494 crore, out of which Haryana government has spent Rs 1,557.40 crore.
Meanwhile, Hooda handed over the possession of 928 flats built in Sector 59 Ballabgarh at a cost of Rs 19.71 crore for people residing in slum areas under Nehru Rashtriya Shehari Navinikaran Mission.
