India will be hosting the sixth edition of the global T20 event starting, March 8.
"I hope both teams (India and Pakistan) will be playing in the finals," Basir, who was speaking at the Aaj Tak 'Agenda' said today.
India and Pakistan will meet at the group league stage in Dharamsala on March 19. Till date, Pakistan have never been able to beat India in a World T20 match across five editions.
"We expect that there will be positive response," Basit added.
