Hormis foundation gives 100 scholarships

Hormis Memorial Foundation has selected 100 students persuing different academic disciplines in Kerala, Tamil Nady, Gujarat and Maharastra for award of schoarships for 2013-14.
The foundation, is the public charitable trust formed by Federal Bank to perpetuate the memory of its founder K P Hormis and the scholarships are given every year, a press release said.
The beneficiaries have been doubled this year.
The scholarships are granted to students of deserving merit pursuing streams Medicine (MBBS), Engineering (BE/B-Tech), Agriculture (B.Sc), Nursing (B.Sc) and MBA. Twenty students in each stream are offered the scholarship including one seat reserved for a physically challenged.
Grant of Scholarships under the banner of Fedbank Hormis Memorial Trust since 1996 has been one of the principal social initiatives undertaken by Federal Bank. The entire CSR exposure is overseen and monitored by the CSR Cell of Federal Bank.
