A private room in a leading hospital here has turned into Congress' war-room in poll-bound Maharashtra.
Mohan Prakash, the AICC General Secretary in-charge of the crucial state, has been admitted to a hospital due to a fractured leg. Not giving up, he has turned the hospital room into a place for strategy sessions with party leaders and workers.
"He had slipped and broken his leg. A rod was inserted and he is still in hospital but he is looking after the party affairs from there only," a senior Congress leader said.
In a lighter vein, he said the leader's hospitalisation has saved many from flying to New Delhi to meet him.
Since Prakash is the in-charge for the state, all decisions for the polls are taken with him in the know.
The Congress, which in alliance with NCP is in power in Maharashtra since 1999, will launch its campaign for the upcoming state assembly polls on September 1.
