Host of political leaders greet Sonia Gandhi on her birthday

A host of political leaders greeted Congress President Sonia Gandhi on her birthday as she turned 70 today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the Congress President on her birthday wishing her a long life filled with good health.
"Birthday wishes to Smt Sonia Gandhi. May Almighty bless her with a long life filled with good health," Modi tweeted.
Top Congress leaders including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, besides senior party leaders A K Antony, P Chidambaram, Ahmed Patel, Ambika Soni, Motilal Vora and Sushilkumar Shinde wished her with flowers at her 10, Janpath residence.

AICC general secretaries Janardan Dwivedi, Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath, C P Joshi, Madhusudan Mistry and some other party leaders were also present at the function.
Among others who also greeted her include former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.

Leaders of various parties also wished her.
Sonia, who attended the Lok Sabha today after she was indisposed and admitted to the hospital, was greeted by members in the Lok Sabha cutting across party lines.
As soon as the House was adjourned for the first time around 1110 hours following pandemonium, she was wished by some BJP MPs.

During the second adjournment of the House till noon, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar, his deputy S S Ahluwalia, Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh and members of the Trinamool Congress walked over to the Opposition benches and greeted her.
She was also greeted by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan when she met her separately.
