Hostelers climb tanks to protest water, power woes

Inmates of a college hostel in Nandgram here climbed atop water tanks to protest against poor supply of water and power.
Enraged over erratic supply of water and power over the past few days, residents of a college hostel at Nandgram in the Sihanigate area last night created a ruckus and climbed over water tanks, police said today.
However, later, they were placated by senior police officers.
They came down after we reached the spot and had talks with them, police said.
