As per Met office bulletin, Gaya was the hottest place in the state at 42.8 degrees Celsius followed by Bhagalpur at 41.2 degrees Celsius, Patna at 41.0 degrees Celsius and Purnea at 37.4 degrees Celsius.
The state capital with its maximum at 41 degrees Celsius along with humid weather made life difficult for the citizens today.
Humidity level at the state capital was 70 per cent in the morning and 53 per cent in the evening, Met office said.
Met department has forecast mainly clear skies for Patna and Gaya while Bhagalpur and Purnea may witness partly cloudy sky tomorrow.
