Hisar in Haryana recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1 degrees Celsius.
Ambala also experienced the sultry weather conditions at 35.5 degrees Celsius.
People in Chandigarh braved yet another humid day with maximum temperature settling at 35 degrees Celsius. Mercury in Amritsar settled at 36.6 degrees Celsius, up two notches against normal.
Sultry weather conditions prevailed in Ludhiana, which recorded a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius while Patiala's maximum settled at 34 degrees Celsius.
Maximum relative humidity at most places in the two states has been in the range of 70-85 per cent.

After it hit the two states, including Chandigarh over a week back, there has been no significant rainfall activity in the region, the MeT Department said.
"The monsoon has turned weak over Punjab and Haryana during the past few days. However, it is likely to revive from July 13 onwards," a MeT Department official said.
At present, he said, the monsoon trough was running from north-west Rajasthan to Bay of Bengal and rainfall activity was expected in the states being covered under this trough.
