Hot, humid day in the national capital

Weakening of monsoon in North gave way to hot and sultry conditions in the national capital as mercury soared two notches above normal.
The maximum temperature for the day was 36 degrees Celsius which was two notches above normal while the minimum was 23.5 deg C, one notch below normal, meteorological department officials said.
The humidity level hovered between 87 per cent and 35 per cent.
The Met department has predicted mainly a clear sky for tomorrow with maximum and minimum temperatures likely to remain 35 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
