Delhiites today woke up to a hot and sunny morning with the minimum temperature settling at 27 degrees Celsius, normal for this season of the year.
The day was expected to be hotter as compared to yesterday as the maximum temperature was projected to settle at 43 degrees Celsius, a MeT official said. The maximum temperature yesterday was 42.6 degrees.
Humidity in air was recorded 34 per cent at 8.30 AM and expected to go down later in the day.
The scorching sun will further bring down humidity, enhancing the intensity of heat.
The sky will be mainly clear in the day, the MeT department has forecast.
