Hot weather conditions continue to prevail in Pb, Hry; Narnaul hottest

Hot weather conditions continued to prevail in Punjab and Haryana, with Narnaul recording the hottest place at 42.8 degrees Celsius.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded its maximum at 36.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal, as per Chandigarh Meteorological department report.

Among other places in Haryana, Bhiwani recorded its high at 39.4 degrees Celsius, while Ambala registered its maximum at 35.1 degrees Celsius, two notches below the normal.

The maximum temperature of Hisar was 40 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum was 40 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal. Patiala and Ludhiana experienced hot weather conditions at 37.7 and 36.6 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to the MeT forecast, light rains/thundershowers may occur at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana in the next 24 hours.
