The company's stakeholders have passed with requisite majority the special resolution "for raising additional long- term funds through further issue of securities up to Rs 1,000 crore", Hotel Leelaventure said in a BSE filing.
The hospitality chain had recently sold its Goa property on a slump sale basis for a consideration of Rs 725 crore to Ceres Hotels Pvt Ltd to pare debt.
Shares of Hotel Leelaventure today closed at Rs 20, down 0.50 per cent on BSE.
