The body of Baby Roy (23) was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her room at Baliadanga Durgabari area of Chakdaha yesterday, they said.
Baby's father Shyamapada De lodged a police complaint at Chakdaha police station alleging that his daughter committed suicide as she was physically and mentally tortured by her husband and in-laws.
On basis of complaint, police today arrested Baby's husband, Koushik Roy, and mother-in-law, Shanti Roy.
