Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh led the House in paying tributes to the departed leaders and described Mahajan as an able administrator who contributed immensely for the welfare of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
He also recalled the contributions of Rattan Singh and described him as a very religious person who contributed immensely for the development and betterment of Gurudwara at Paonta Sahib.
The House then observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the former members.
