The opposition Congress is facing a situation of confusion and chaos due to uncertainty over change in leadership ahead of the Assembly elections later this year.
The party, which was expected to be aggressive during the session, was forced to cancel its proposed gherao of Vidhan Sabha, and the customary meeting of CLP will be held just two hours before the start of the session.
On the other hand, mood is upbeat in the ruling BJP as Chief Minister P K Dhumal has already launched the party's election campaign by addressing a series of meetings in all the districts.
"The party is fully geared up to take on the Congress inside and outside the House and it would be last session for most of the Congress MLAs and not for us as we are determined to accomplish the 'mission repeat'," BJP spokesperson Ganesh Dutt said.
