"Aadhaar numbers have been generated for 72,52,880 residents of the state. Himachal Pradesh is sixth after Delhi, Telangana, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh to achieve saturation," a spokesman of state Information and Technology department said here.
The state has distributed 780 computer tablets among 'anganwari' workers to cover children between 0-5 years under Aadhaar while 250 tablets will be deployed at health institutions to cover new born babies in order to maintain saturation, he said.
The spokesperson said as biometric upgradation is mandatory after ages five and fifteen, the state has made 240 permanent enrollment centres (PECs) operational.
