"UPA government did not give any financial package to the state which suffered losses to the tune of Rs 5000 crore due to natural calamities but it announced assistance of Rs 57,000 crore to Uttar Pradesh government ahead of presidential polls," the state executive of BJP, during its two-day meeting at Mandi which concluded last evening, said in a statement here.
The Centre has reduced the foodgrains quota of the state, curtailed the industrial package by three years to March 31, 2010, ignored the demands for shifting the headquarter of Dogra regiment from Faizabad to Una in Himachal and expansion of rail network in the hill state, it alleged .
The state executive has asked the party workers to raise all these issues during the elections besides highlighting the achievements of the state government.
