"The Union government has fixed the new price of LED bulbs at Rs 55 but the state government was providing the same at Rs 105 and cheating the consumers," head of state BJP media wing, Parveen Sharma alleged.
As per the latest bids invited by the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a central government undertaking, these bulbs are being bought at a price of Rs 55 and the difference between the two rates suggested that there was an embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs 25 crore, Sharma said.
