State Urban Development Minister Sudhir Sharma today held a meeting with six consultant companies in New Delhi to explore the feasibility of such a system, according to an official release.
The objective of the meet was to take steps for reducing traffic congestion in main hill stations like Shimla and Dharamshala and promote tourism while conserving ecosystem.
A consultant company would be appointed within a month to study the feasibility of integrated transport system in the state and efforts would be made to provide such a system to the people in a time-bound manner, the release quoted Sharma as saying in the meet.
