Fares of 12 and 18 seater tempo traveller buses would be reduced by 50 per cent, while 15 per cent discount would be given in Volvo buses from January 15 to March 31, he said.
Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has made big strides in the last four years. It has started bus services on 100 new routes and the number of buses has increased to 3,200, Bali said.
The state has received Rs 5 crore from the Centre for opening driving schools and Rs 20 crore is being spent on construction of bus stands at Chamba, Rohroo, Kotali, Dalerh, the minister said.
