Tech giant Hewlett-Packard has said CIBIL has selected it for enhancing the credit information provider's IT operations to meet the needs of expanding customer base.
Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd (CIBIL) provides Report and TransUnion Score to more than 1,000 banks and credit institutions, using credit histories of over 340 million consumer and more than 17 million commercial records.
With continued expansion of India's economy and financial services sector, CIBIL needed to prepare its business operations for growth, HP India said in a release.
To address this, CIBIL selected HP BladeSystem c7000 to consolidate its HP BL 890i4 Unix Blades servers and HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000 storage into a converged infrastructure, it added.
With improved IT efficiency, the HP solution will enable CIBIL to handle larger volumes of transactions and accelerate the delivery of CIBIL Report and CIBIL TransUnion Scores to its growing customer base, HP India said.
HP BladeSystem c7000 server enclosure allows CIBIL to scale its IT infrastructure on-demand by up to 70 per cent and the flexibility to increase capacity without any additional capital investments.
Additionally, HP provides mission critical level support with HP Datacenter Care across CIBIL's hardware and software.
