The HPCA filed a voluminous petition and maintained that natural justice has not been done by not giving it prior notice for takeover.
Earlier, the HPCA had challenged the show cause notice given by the Registrar (Societies) and maintained that it was a "Company" and not a Society.
The registrar in its orders yesterday accepted the plea of HPCA that it was a Company but also pointed that it had all the jurisdiction to take action against HPCA as a Society under the Societies Act.
The government had cancelled the lease of lands given to HPCA, which it was a Society, on the night of October 27 and took over possession of international cricket stadium and Hotel Pavillion at Dharamsala and lands at Bilaspur, Nurpur, Kotkhai and Shimla.
The state Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau had already registered two cases against HPCA and investigations are in progress.
