He said that the final draft was sent to the state government for approval today which will be followed by uploading it on Commission's website.
The government has already approved the macro level syllabus but final draft of micro level syllabus alongwith few amendments will be approved by the Cabinet prior to its execution by the Commission, he said.
Tomar said that the micro level syllabus was uploaded on Commission's website and suggestions from candidates and other stakeholders were invited.
The Chairman said that the Commission incorporated some of them in the final draft and one optional subject of 300 marks has been eliminated.
There will be one optional subject of two hundred marks which will be divided in two papers of one hundred each. The UPSC had dropped one optional paper out of two, Tomar said.
In the preliminary examination, there will be two papers including general studies and Aptitude Test and the merit for qualifying the preliminary examination will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in General Studies whereas Aptitude test paper will be of qualifying nature with 33 per cent marks, he added.
