HPS inks global alliance with Tech Mahindra

IT firm Tech Mahindra today said it signed a global agreement with HPS, a provider of mission critical solutions to the cards and payments industry, for offering the latter's PowerCARD payments technology to its customers.
The alliance will enable Tech Mahindra's financial institutions and payment processing customers of all sizes to improve their cards and payments businesses by replacing legacy hardware and software with a single, flexible and cost processing effective platform, it said in a statement.
PowerCARD is a suite of electronic payment solutions that covers the entire value chain of issuing, acquiring and switching in one single payments platform.
"Tech Mahindra benefits from a truly global network and its expansion plans are very much in line with HPS' strategy. We will continue to work with Tech Mahindra to deliver modernisation programmes," HPS MD Abdeslam Alaoui said.

ibiboGroup appoints Prakash Sangam as redBus CEO * Online travel services firm IbiboGroup today announced the appointment of Prakash Sangam as the CEO of online bus ticketing services portal redBus.

Founders of redBus, Phanindra Sama and Charan Kumar Raju will be exiting the company, it said in a statement.
This is part of ibibo's focus to drive seamless integration of redBus into the Group, it added.
Till recently, Sangam was the Executive VP at Infoedge India ltd (Naukri group), heading two portfolio businesses Shiksha.Com and jeevansathi.Com. He also had a stint with Airtel as GM of Marketing and innovation.
Besides, ibiboGroup also announced two more management inductions. Rohan Patnaik is appointed as the Head of Supply and Operations and Anoop Menon will head the engineering function of redBus including redbus.In, BOGDS (Bus operator facing platform) and SeatSeller (Agent facing platform).

Acer introduces back to school campaign * Computer maker Acer today said it has launched the Back to School campaign targeting students with special offers and deals.
Valid till June 30, the campaign promises attractive benefits to the target customers varying from vouchers to extended warranty and damage protection at a fraction of its original cost, it said in a release.
