HPU VC condemns attack on professor

Himachal Pradesh University Vice-Chancellor Prof A D N Bajpai today condemned the attack on a professor in Haryana's Rohtak district.
"The guilty should be dealt with stringently and booked under the law to ensure deterrent punishment," Bajpai said in a statement.
Ashish Dahiya, professor of Maharishi Dayanand University's Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management Department in Rohtak, was shot at allegedly by a former student on December 2.
The professor was rushed to PGIMS at Rohtak. He was shot at around 11 AM in in MDU campus, Rohtak range's Inspector General of Police Anil Kumar Rao said.
Bajpai said the teaching fraternity of MDU, Rohtak should collectively raise its voice against the cowardly attack on a senior teacher.
