Hry Govt suspends revenue official for dereliction of duty

The Haryana government today suspended a revenue official in Sonepat for alleged dereliction of duty.
Sonepat Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Singh Malik has been suspended for non-delivery of registered deeds to the purchasing parties, an official release said here.
The Commissioner of Rohtak had received many complaints regarding non-delivery of registered deeds to purchasing parties, the release said.
Acting swiftly on the complaints, the Commissioner today conducted a raid along with his staff at the Tehsil Office, Sonepat where a large number of registered deeds was found lying unsigned in the room of registration clerks.
These registered deeds relate to registration period of January 29 and January 30. Despite lapse of 18 days in some cases, still the signature of joint sub-registrar was not affixed on sale deeds due to which such documents could not be delivered to the public, it said.
About 250 such unsigned and undelivered documents were found. These documents belonged to registration dates of January 29, January 30, February 9, February 10, February 11, February 12 and February 13.
According to the existing system of registration in the state, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar carry out the registration work in alternate weeks and all these dates had been assigned to registration of Naib Tehsildar Ravinder Malik.
