Haryana Assembly, which is celebrating its 'Swarna Jayanti Samaroh' (golden jubilee function) at Panchkula on November 3, has invited all current and former MPs and MLAs of the state for the "mega" event.
State Assembly Speaker Kanwar Pal said he has sent invitations to 288 former MLAs presently drawing pension, and also the MPs belonging to Haryana who were drawing pension from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
He said Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki would inaugurate the programme.
Pal said the former MLAs and MPs would be paid an honorarium of Rs 11,000 by Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat for to and fro and making arrangement of boarding and lodging at their own level.
He said the government has, on the occasion of Swarna Jayanti Samaroh, also convened a special Session of Haryana Assembly on November 4.
As this would be a special session, it would be ensured in the meeting of Business Advisory Committee that the agenda items of this session are different from that of regular sessions, he added.
Haryana was carved out as a separate state on November 1, 1966 and it would be celebrating 50 years of its existence in the coming days.
