Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would allot sites to recognised political parties on freehold basis to construct party headquarters at Panchkula, subject to conditions.
HUDA has invited applications from recognised political parties for the allotment of sites in Sector-32 of Panchkula, an official release said here today.
The area of each site will be 4,087 square metres with a tentative cost of over Rs 8.29 crore. The last date for receiving applications is April 29, it said.
"Only recognised national political parties and Haryana state recognised political parties would be eligible to apply," a spokesman of HUDA was quoted in the release as saying.
"However, such political parties having no member in the Legislative Assembly of Haryana as on the last date of receipt of applications would not be eligible to apply.
"Apart from this, a political party would not be eligible to apply if a site has already been allotted to it in Panchkula Urban Estate," the spokesman said.
The application in the prescribed format would have to be submitted in the office of Estate Officer, HUDA, Panchkula along with a demand draft of Rs 82,96,610, equivalent to 10 per cent of the total tentative cost of the plot at the rate of Rs 20,300 per square metre.
