Huge quantity of adulterated mawa seized

A team of medical and health department today seized a huge quantity of adulterated 'mawa' (dried milk), used in making sweets, in Rajasthan's Bundi.
"The team seized 2.50 quintal of Mawa and mawa sweets from Jhalarapatan and Jhalawar bus stands while a separate team from the department seized 64 kg of adulterated mawa and mawa barfi (sweets) from a Mawa Bhandar in Azad Park area of Bundi city," Food Security Inspector of Jhalawar.
"The samples from the seizures have been sent to the lab in Kota for testing," he added.
The seizures were made as a part of a special drive against the adulterated sweets and food products across Kota division in view of the forthcoming festival of Diwali.
The campaign started on October 20 and will continue till October 30.
