The three-day event, inaugurated by Minister of Tourism Somnath Bharti on January 24 at Golden Jubilee Park, showcased some of the most unique kites ever seen with this year's highlights being night kite flying with LED kites and kite trails having more than 150 kites.
The last day of the annual festival witnessed a huge turnout which included Delhi Chief Secretary, S K Srivastava.
Apart from these, the event, which had participants from United Kingdom, the USA, France, Lebanon, Indonesia and South Korea, also showcased Hexagon shaped kites, kathakali kites from Kerala, dragon kites, as well as Bhagat Singh kites.
The festival also had magic shows every day, cultural programs by Sahitya Kala Parishad and Punjabi Academy every evening and a special painting competition for children on the second day of the event.
