Shares of Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) rose for the second day today, ending with nearly 4 per cent gains, helped by encouraging earnings for the fourth quarter ended March 2018.
The stock gained 3.84 per cent to end at Rs 1,574.20 on BSE. During the day, it rose by 4.30 per cent to Rs 1,581.30 -- its52-week high level.
On NSE, shares of the company went up by 3.87 per cent to close at Rs 1,574.15.
HUL was the top gainer among the blue chips on both Sensex and Nifty.
The stock had gained nearly 1 per cent in the previous trading session also.
FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Monday reported 14.2 per cent increase in standalone net profit to Rs 1,351 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, driven by a strong double digit volume growth.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1,183 crore in January-March period a year ago, HUL said in a BSE filing.
