Nico Hulkenberg squandered his best start of the season to finish 19th while Sergio Perez moved in and out of top-10 before finally settling for 17th place in the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix here today.
After the high of podium-place finish for Perez in the previous race in Baku, Force India had a lot to look forward to when Hulkenberg secured a front row start for today's race.
However the German struggled with the tyres of his car throughout the 72-lap race. He retired his car in the 65th lap.
Perez was in points reckoning till the very end but he ended up being in the gravel as the team returned without points after manging three consecutive double-points finishes.
Force India remain in the fifth position with 59 points, 23 clear of sixth-placed Toro Rosso.
