Trains accidents due to railway staff failure have come down from 56 in 2010-11 to 42 in 2012-13 and railways have taken various measures to reduce the failure of railway staff, said Minister of State for Railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in a written reply.
Providing proper rest to running staff, periodic medical examination of safety category employees, structured training at various stages along with refresher courses and meditation and physical training lessons are some of the steps introduced to cope with stress involved in the job, he said.
