Humid day in Delhi; rains likely tomorrow

With skies remaining overcast, Delhites today experienced a humid day even as the weathermen forecast thundershowers accompanied by light rains in the wee hours tomorrow.
The humidity in air today shot up to 92 per cent, causing discomfort to Delhiites while on the lower side it was recorded at 51 per cent, MeT office said.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Very light rains or thundershowers could occur in some parts of the city after midnight till morning. There will be shallow fog or mist early in the morning," a MeT official said.
According to MeT office, the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal while the maximum settled at 32.2 degrees C, also a notch above the normal.
Tomorrow the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at around 31 and 18 degrees C respectively, it said.
Yesterday, the day temperature had settled at 33.1 degrees C and minimum was registered at 19 degrees C.
