Hundreds of devotees take part in festival

:Hundreds of devotees took part 'Chithirai Peruvizha' festival at the Sarangapaniswamy temple here and pulled the temple car.
This year the festival commenced on May 5 with the hoisting of the temple flag and it will conclude on May 21.
The main deity was colorfully decorated and taken out in a procession to the car, after which the devotees pulled it.
Later this evening, there would be fireworks display, temple sources said.
