Hundreds throng 'One Billion Rising' campaign for women rights

'One Billion Rising', a campaign that seeks to end violence against women, entered its fourth year with hundreds of people gathering here today to mark the occasion.
Youths, mostly from schools and colleges, gathered at the Central Park and through dance, theater and and music urged people to support the cause.
Edhi called for a drastic reduction in the military
spending of India and Pakistan, and diverting the saved resources for improving the living conditions of the poor.
ORF is a public policy think tank, engaged in varied activities aimed at contributing to peaceful, friendly and good-neighbourly relations between India and Pakistan.
"Our latest initiative was the establishment of Mumbai Karachi Friendship Forum, which seeks to revive the rich shared history between the two Gateway cities of India and Pakistan," Kulkarni said.
The Gandhi-Edhi Campaign, which is an initiative of the Forum, seeks to spread the message of 'Serve Humanity - Promote Indo-Pak Peace', said Kulkarni, a former aide to the veteran BJP leader L K Advani.
